LIFE UPDATE!

Hello, wow, i have not been on xanga for a while. Its weird thinking about just how much my life has changed since the last time I wrote. Well, I graduated University with a first class honours in Law..Not bad eh? Started a new job: I am in fact no longer a student but a legal executive in Litigation.........Get in! I am currently moving out of my house at Surbiton, and am struggling to make a decision as to where to go now. Could move back to my home town and save £500 a month or stay here and be happier...who knows.

Also been on another Holiday...life is tough. Went to the South of France, it was incredible. It was one of the best holiday's ever, Athens was also pretty cool, can't decide which was better. Doesn't really matter. I love travelling, it is so much fun to see other cultures and ways of life. Different food, languages currencies, toilets etc etc. A reference to my best buddy jonathans toilet episodes on holiday. Firstly by fishing out toilet paper form a Greek toilet and secondly by washing his foot in a French toilet....what a winner he is! Anyway, can't wait to travel some more. I am heading out to California in a month or so..........GET IN!!! Will be a very exciting time. Staying with my ex Siamese twin brother Jonathan, whom i miss lots. We're going to Tahoe..........SO exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also going to see Claire who I have not seen in a while, pretty cool, but I'll see her mostly after my holiday when she moves back to England. Also, my winner friends Jo and Amanda are getting married...........and I'm going to LA to be there............WOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I see you Americans are struggling with the heat! We Brits are so pathetic. The moment it gets into the 30's (90's) the country rips apart at the seam, old grannies start dying off, clothes have holes in them from the immense amount of Sweat. Get this even British fish are weaker than weak. Our fish pond had had three fish die in the past 2 months because of the heat & they live in flipping water for Goodness sake. Being around American's so much has made me realise that British people really do like to moan a lot about the weather, its so annoying. When its cold we moan like crazy and the minute it gets hot I hear radio DJ's saying "oh when will this misery end". My answer to them is Shuuuuuuuuuuupppppppppp!!!!! Be thankful for this great weather. Well that kills that rant.

On other news, the new job is OK. Its quite a weird transition from student to full time executive worker boy, 'shut up please i am very busy and important' (name the film). Lots of stress and pressure, but good news: I get money for this one! I am sick of working with pretentious, aristocratical, plum in mouth, rod up ass British Lawyers. Seriously, I live in a society where if you have more money than somebody else, it gives you automatic rights to look down your nose at them and treat them like crap. So annoying, I await the day when  they meet their maker, then they will know their real status. Thank Goodness that in Christ we are all equal. I mean seriously, the attitude on some of these people, I really want to say to them a) do you really not have anything better to do than comment on the 'liberal' nature of a persons coffee cup, and b) if you really are that posh why can't you buy some suits that don't look like your pet dinosaur has trampled on them. Thus ending that rant.

On good news. Today was the coolest lesson with my Sunday School Kids I have ever had. I had to speak to them about the resurrection and the life, which obviously involved speaking about death. The kids actually ended up asking me 'how can i be sure I will get to heaven''. What a question to ask!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God is so good. It also reminded me this morning that nothing, i repeat nothing can separate us as Christians from the love of God and the security of our eternal destiny. Death is the worst thing that could happen to us on this Earth and even that is controlled by our all loving Jesus "I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in me will live, even though he dies"john 11:25. Can i encourage all of my Brothers and Sisters out there to memorise this verse. Whenever things get you down and life gets to much, just remember the price is paid and not even death can hold you or separate you from the love of your creator...GET IN!

So that's about it. I'm pretty bored at the moment, missing Jonathan a bit, working takes most of my time up so no social life for me. But hey ho...life is good and I go on holiday soon!!!! Woohoooo!!!! Oh yeah, I am preaching at church on Mark 9 for two weeks, August 6th and 13th, listen online if you feel the inclination, otherwise just pray for me. The transfiguration is not an easy thing to preach on I can tell you.

I hope you are all well, and I'm sure I'll see all of you americans at Jo and Amanda's wedding, and some of you I will see sooner than that,

All my love to you all,

Chris

Sorry about the last empty post and thanks for your comments. It was my test to see if anyone read this thing anymore, it appears they do, so I will write.

Life has been interesting of late. Lots of exciting things happening, some not very exciting and some uncertain things.

On the exciting stuff, went to Barcelona with my buddy Jonathan which was spectacularly awesome. Such cool architecture and culture. Really weird: we were just walking along a Spanish street when we confronted by 70 ish Spanish people just dancing on the street, and lots of 80+ Mediterranean men playing there instruments, particularly adorable.

. The sagrada familia (Guadi's unfinished Cathedral) was without doubt the most spectacular building I have ever seen. They have been building it for hundereds of years and it is due to be completed when i reach the age of 80, so if im still alive, or Jesus has not returned, i will visit it in my retirement.

So yeah Barcelona was cool, full of food, drink , architecture, history and best of all the trip ended with sun, sea and sand:

It was probably the best few days away ive ever had.......soaking up culture, i believe, has become my new favourite past time Which would explain why in April over my 21st Birthday IM GOING TO ATHENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get in!! IM going to follow the steps of our beloved apostle Paul, should be an awesome way to celebrate my 21st!!!

Also on my travels i visited the most sacred place of all in LA:

So yeah all in all my travels have been particularly fun. For those of you who know me, you will almost certainly know about my ever so small fear of flying and how God in his infinite humour provides me with flights with numerous faults, All of my California trips were full of flaws, scotland flight had an abandoned take off and why should i have thought that Barcelona would have been any different. Just as we were about to take off the plane smashed into something and we couldn't take off in that plane...amazing!!! Here's praying for the flight to Athens.

Well I now am in my final semester of my degree, work is piling and my procrastination is piling also. Just cant be bothered to do anything.

I went to a training weekend for a bible kids camp that im leading over the summer. It was awesome. I met some fantastic people. Isnt it cool that as christian bro's and sis' your already united with other christians and inevitably will get on. After all we have the most important thing in common.

We spent the whole weekend ferociously tackling the doctrine of the cross. And how reviving it was. The justice, mercy and love of our great God is so evident on his cross. What a needed reminder it was that I am a filthy scumbag seen as righteous and justified by the cleansing blood of our Lord Jesus Christ....amazing!!

SO peeps who were in England and no longer are...How are you? Let me know by commenting or sending me an email. your presence is most definitely missed in England and Cornerstone. We would love to have you back so come and visit.

Until next time...I bid you fair well

Love, Chris
